A set of bare feet in a bent position for figures in 1:35 scale. It is neither a figure nor a kit but parts for a conversion. The difference compared with feet in the basic standing position lies precisely in the angle: this variant is cast so that it suits a figure that is sitting, lying or has a leg thrown loosely over a crate or the edge of a truck bed.
A figure at rest is recognized mainly by its legs. A foot that stands on its whole area gives away on a seated figure that the part comes from elsewhere, whereas a bent foot settles a scene at once. It finds a use with a crew at rest, in scenes with washing or treating wounds and in civilian scenes where a bare foot is natural.
Cut the original leg off above the ankle or at the place where the trouser leg ends. Separate the new part from the casting residue, sand the surface down and wash the casting in lukewarm water with a detergent to rid it of the release agent. Before you start gluing, assemble the figure dry together with its base and verify that the angle of the foot matches what the figure is meant to rest on. Only then glue with super glue; a gel variant allows the part to be turned for a while. Fill the seam with a modeling compound and sand it over, or else model a fold of the trouser leg. Paint skin in thin layers: a base tone, a glaze into the recesses between the toes and under the ankle and a fine highlight on the instep. Finally, dust the foot that touches the ground with a pigment according to the terrain.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a figure. Glue, paints, modeling compound and the figure are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
