This is a resin set of replacement road wheels for models of the Soviet eight-wheeled BTR-60 armored personnel carrier in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle kit but a detail accessory that replaces the box-stock wheels with more accurate castings. The wheels have a realistic weighted sag in the tires, so once they are fitted the vehicle conveys the right impression of weight.
The castings faithfully capture both the tread profile and the layout of the rim on the large off-road tires, which are a prominent recognizable feature of this type. The detail is particularly useful for bringing out the contact patch with the ground.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting gates and sand the mating surfaces. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and protect your airways when sanding resin. Spray a coat of primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
