Spruce Green is a rich darker green that the British standard for designating shades lists under number 284. Standard numbers have the advantage of describing a shade unambiguously: it does not matter how a given manufacturer interprets a verbal name, because the number decides. When building British equipment or when mixing a palette from several ranges, that is substantial help.
The Mr.Paint range is intended for the airbrush. It comes straight in a consistency ready to spray, so in most cases it does not have to be thinned further. It dries quickly and forms a very thin smooth film that does not clog the fine relief of the surface, the panel lines or the rivets. This range is not well suited to the brush, because the quick drying shows through in the strokes.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand. Spray in several light coats and let them become tacky between one another, otherwise the paint will run on an edge. Tune the pressure and any further thinning to your own airbrush and to the manufacturer's instructions. Clean the tools right after work with the thinner intended for this range, as a dried film is substantially harder to remove. Take care with masks made of tape and with the coats under the paint: before you apply the paint to an already painted model, try it first on a hidden area or on a piece of scrap plastic.
One bottle of paint is supplied. The thinner, a primer, a final clear coat and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
