A resin set of wheels in 1:35 scale for a model of the Soviet BTR-70 eight-wheeled armored personnel carrier. It is an accessory for a finished kit, not a kit. On a vehicle with eight wheels in one row the quality of the tires is clearly visible along the whole length of the hull, so the replacement shows in the overall impression more strongly than on a tank.
The BTR-70 is an amphibious armored personnel carrier with drive to all eight wheels, which followed on from the older BTR-60 and removed its main weaknesses. It carries an infantry squad, swims thanks to a water jet at the rear, and its low angular hull with side doors between the axles is one of its characteristic features. It served with the Soviet army and with many other countries, and it can still be seen in a number of conflicts today.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water and remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, level the surface with a file and protect your airways while sanding. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Eight wheels in a row have to be lined up on a flat board before gluing, otherwise the vehicle will sit crooked and it shows at once. The bottom of the tires can be sanded lightly into a flat spot to suggest load.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
