A set of figures of French mountain infantry, the chasseurs alpins, in 1:35 scale for dioramas and display case scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The chasseurs alpins are the French mountain infantry, the elite mountain troops of the French army. They came about at the end of the nineteenth century for service in the Alps and differed from ordinary infantry in their training and their equipment alike: skis, rope, an ice axe and the ability to move on a slope where other units stayed on the roads. Their most conspicuous mark is the broad flat beret, which is recognizable from ordinary headgear at first glance.
Figures of French mountain infantry in 1:35 scale. Figures give a finished scene its scale and its action, which a vehicle or a gun on its own never will. How many figures the package contains and what poses they are in is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
Clean the figures up before painting and try dry how they will stand in the scene in relation to each other and to the vehicles. Apply the base coat thinly so that it does not flood the creases of the cloth and the straps. Leave the face until the end and work on it in layers from a darker base color toward the lighter places on the forehead, the nose and the cheekbones. Uniform cloth is rewarding for a dry brush, with which you bring out the edges of the folds. Leave the beret in a rich shade, as it is the element by which viewers place the figure.
Paints, glue, a base and a vehicle model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
