1:35 Corn Plants by RT-Diorama is scenic material for building a stand of corn in a large modeling scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set Corn Plants by the brand RT-Diorama serves to build up a cornfield on a diorama. Corn is among the crops that at full height overtop a standing soldier, so it can transform the whole character of a tableau and turn an open plain into an opaque space in which even a whole squad is lost. Few plants have so strong an influence on how a scene comes across.
Extensive fields of corn are typical of Ukraine, Hungary, Romania and the Balkans, but also of the northern Italian lowlands and the American Midwest. The tableaux that come across most strongly are those from the end of summer and from early autumn, when the stand reaches full height and gives infantry and equipment natural cover and, with it, surprise encounters at short range.
Corn is grown in rows, and it is precisely the regular spacing that the viewer subconsciously expects. It therefore pays first to mark the lines of the rows out on your base and only then to set the plants in. A flattened strip in the track of a tracked vehicle is a rewarding storytelling detail that gives a static scene movement and direction. In the same way, a torn-up edge of the field by a road betrays that someone passed through there shortly before.
This is plant material for creating a setting, and finishing the scene remains up to the modeler.
