A resin detail set for the Jagdtiger with Henschel running gear from the production of December 1944 to 1945, 1:35 scale, contents for two vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit but a resin detail accessory for models of the heavy tank destroyer Jagdtiger in 1:35 scale. According to the name the set is tied to examples with Henschel running gear from the production between December 1944 and 1945, and the contents of the package are enough for two vehicles.
The Jagdtiger was built on a lengthened Tiger II chassis with a fixed superstructure in place of a rotating turret. It came about in two variants of the running gear, named after the originators of the solutions, Porsche and Henschel, and the machines also differed by month of production in small elements of the superstructure and the equipment. The dating in the name of the set is therefore not a formality but determines which examples the parts fit.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the area with a file; protect your airways when sanding resin. Try the parts dry before gluing, because resin, unlike plastic, cannot be pressed into place. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The large flat areas of the superstructure can be painted with an airbrush, and the transitions can then be softened with filters and a dark wash. Use pigments on the lower hull and the running gear, because that is where the heaviest deposits collect on heavy vehicles.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
