It is not a kit of equipment and not a model of a vehicle, but one element of a diorama, which is added to a finished model or to a composition in a display case. A discarded container is a rewarding object: on its own it suggests the character of the place and at the same time it forms a visual mass which closes off the corner of a scene to the eye.
A container belongs beside a building, against a wall or in the nook of a yard, not in the middle of an open area. It works best turned slightly at an angle to the line of sight and partly sunk into the terrain, so that it does not look as though it were merely set on the surface. Try the position dry together with the figures and the vehicle, and only then press the bottom into the still damp terrain compound and cover the joint with a small deposit of rubble, leaves or mud.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, let them dry thoroughly and remove the casting remains. Resin parts are glued with super glue, plastic ones with ordinary glue for polystyrene. Then comes a base from a spray can or with an airbrush in thin layers, so that the structure of the surface is not clogged. Build the color in layers: a base shade, a lighter transition on the edges, darker nooks. Do the rust and the chipped paint only after the base has dried, either with the dry sponge technique or with a thin brush. Then let it all dry through overnight, go over it with a varnish compatible with the paint used and bring out the detail with a flowing wash, which gathers of itself in the pressings and under the edges. Draw off the excess with a cloth in the direction in which water would run. Add dust and pigments at the very end and fix them with matte varnish or a fixative, as otherwise they will rub off during handling.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue, a base and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
