1:35 Fallschirmjäger No.2 - Normandy 1944 is a figure from Dynamo-Models in 1:35 scale on the same subject as figure number one.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second figure of a numbered pair from Dynamo-Models in 1:35 scale. The subject is a member of the German airborne troops in Normandy in 1944, and the point of this figure is to add to a scene a figure with a different pose from the one figure number one has.
The German airborne troops were originally built up for air drops, but from the middle of the war they were used mainly as ground infantry committed to the hard sectors of the front. In Normandy the fighting was carried on in broken farming country, where the dense hedgerow on the edge of every field acted as a natural fortification and the distances between the sides were counted in tens of meters. The equipment of these units differed from line infantry: a short jump smock, a helmet without a markedly projecting rim and their own system of straps and pouches. In a scene such a figure therefore reads differently from an ordinary infantryman.
Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry so that the paint holds on a smooth surface. Build the uniform from a darker base toward the lighter areas, bring out the hollows of the folds with a thinned dark shade and lighten the edges of the cloth slightly. With a pair of figures it pays off to shift the shades of the uniforms a little, so that the scene does not look like two castings painted the same color. Place the figure by a hedgerow, at the edge of a sunken lane or beside damaged vehicles.
