A male figure base in 1:35 scale is a resin accessory for building a figure of your own. It is not a kit and not a finished painted figure.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin casting of the base of a male figure in 1:35 scale. It is not a model and not a finished figure but an accessory for modelers who put a figure for a scene together from parts. The base carries the overall pose and the proportions; the rest is refined with the parts that follow, with putty and with paint. The casting is supplied unpainted and is cleaned up before fitting.
Building a figure from parts is the usual approach wherever a scene calls for a character in a different pose or with different equipment from the figures in a box. Heads, arms and headgear are bought separately for such a base, so one casting yields a different character every time. In 1:35 scale an adult figure stands about five centimeters tall, so even small details of the face and the equipment come into play.
First wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent, as traces of mold release agent otherwise keep the paint from holding. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw or a knife, level the face with a file and sand it. Do not inhale the resin dust; sand with respiratory protection, ideally wet. It is bonded with cyanoacrylate glue, as ordinary plastic cement will not join resin. Fill the seams left after fitting the head and arms with putty or a two-part modeling compound. Apply a thin primer before painting, then cover with acrylic or enamel, pick out the recesses with a wash and lift the edges with a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the parts that go with it are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
