1:35 Firemen big set is a multi-figure resin set of firefighters in 1:35 scale from Black Dog, built for a diorama with an incident scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
Under this name a multi-figure box in 1:35 scale with a firefighting theme is offered. The words big set tell the bulkier box apart from the smaller sets of the same series; how many figures are in it the name does not specify, and so it is not stated here. The castings are resin and come in the raw shade of the material.
An incident is one of the few subjects where the figures carry the whole story and the hardware merely acts as a backdrop. It works well to spread the figures into a triangle, one at the front at a hose, another in motion, a third turned with his back to the viewer. The 1:35 scale matches ordinary kits of truck chassis and tankers in the same scale, so the group can be stood beside a finished vehicle without adjusting the height.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of degreaser and let them dry through completely. Cut the casting remains off with a saw or a sharp knife, level the surfaces with fine paper and protect your airways when sanding. Cyanoacrylate glue holds the joints, and putty fills the gaps. A light base coat pays off; the bright tones of turnout gear lose their saturation over a dark ground.
The castings have the natural color of the material; obtain paints and glue separately.
