The set contains brass photo-etched parts for a detailed improvement of the exterior of the Flakpanzer 38 anti-aircraft vehicle. It is not a standalone model but an accessory intended for a plastic kit of that vehicle in 1:35 scale. The photo-etched parts replace thick plastic items with finer elements such as meshes, brackets, hinges and other exterior details.
The Flakpanzer 38 was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun of the Second World War period, built on the proven chassis of the Panzer 38(t) light tank. It carried a 20 mm automatic cannon and served to defend units against low-flying aircraft. The open superstructure with folding side plates allowed all-round traverse of the weapon.
Separate the individual parts with a sharp knife and form the bends with a photo-etch bending tool. Use cyanoacrylate glue, or two-part epoxy on larger areas. Degrease the brass before painting and apply a primer. The exterior folding side plates and meshes can be fitted before the final assembly of the running gear.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
