This photo-etched set of thin brass is meant as an accessory for the plastic kit of the German four-barrel Flakvierling 38 anti-aircraft gun of 20 mm caliber in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but a set of fine metal parts with which you will raise the fidelity of the finished weapon.
On anti-aircraft guns, photo-etched sets usually make the gunner's seats, the shields, the controls, the sighting gear, the platform, the cotter pins and the small brackets more precise. It is exactly these features that stand out close up, and plastic cannot render them finely enough.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife and make the bends along the etched grooves. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with epoxy. Degrease the metal and lay down a base coat of primer before painting. With the pierced seats and shields, take care that the parts do not stay deformed.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
