Responsibility details are not available.
The figure belongs to the range of Dynamo-Models and is in 1:35 scale, that is in the same scale in which the great majority of ground vehicle kits are released. The subject is unambiguous from the name: a French sergeant of 1940. This is a figure item, not a vehicle kit - the point is to bring a finished vehicle or scene to life with a human figure that suggests both a story and the proportions to the viewer.
The campaign in France took place in May and June 1940, and the French army entered it in a form that is visually rewarding for a modeler: the long greatcoat, the Adrian pattern helmet, pouches and a bread bag on straps. A sergeant was a noncommissioned rank at squad level, that is the man who stood between the rank and file and the officer corps and held the unit together in the field. It is precisely such figures that give a scene its story: a pointing hand, a glance at a map, a short stop at the roadside.
The figure comes out well when the skin and the cloth are painted separately and in layers - a base tone, a darker shadow into the folds and a gentle lightening of the edges. French khaki tended to be noticeably faded in the field, so it pays off to lighten the large areas and, on the other hand, to strengthen the shadow under the greatcoat and in the armpits. Deal with the transition between the figure and the base with dust pigment on the boots and the lower hem, so that the figure visually stands in the terrain. Before painting, look over the whole surface against the light so as to find all the joints and mating surfaces.
