The fighting in Italy brought a varied collection of hardware together and the sheet shows that well. Besides the ordinary PzKpfw IV Ausf H there are two special versions of the Pz III chassis here: an artillery observation vehicle, which instead of fighting ranged targets and passed the data to the batteries, and a command tank in the Ausf J version with extended signals equipment. They are rounded out by the Italian CV.35 tankette, a small two-man tracked vehicle with machine gun armament, which looks tiny beside the German machines.
The markings aim at the national insignia, the tactical numbers and the recognition features of vehicles deployed in the Italian theater. The printing is in 1:35 scale, that is for the most common size of kits of ground hardware.
On the observation and command vehicles, check in advance where the markings belong: the superstructures and the hatches differ from the combat version and an element must not run across a protrusion without support. Paint the model and give it a coat of gloss varnish, and separate the elements with a sharp blade close to the print. Check the application procedure in the instructions enclosed with the sheet and use a decal softener only where the instructions allow it. Once it has dried, even the surface out with a varnish and only then shade and dust it.
The set is for modelers who build hardware of the Italian theater and like less usual versions of well-known chassis. This is a decal sheet; the kit of the vehicle, the paints and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
