About product

German Wiking Division, Kovel 1944 1:35 (Dragon)

An injection-molded plastic set of four figures in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The figures represent German soldiers of the Wiking Division during the street fighting at Kovel in 1944. They are aptly posed for fighting in built-up areas.

The real subject

The Wiking Division was made up largely of foreign volunteers. The set captures soldiers in full kit with an assault pack that holds personal equipment and a rolled greatcoat. A striking feature is the machine gunner firing an MG42 from the hip.

Building and painting tips

Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints. Bring the uniforms to life with field gray-green tones, and paint the camouflage patterns in layers. Bring out the details of the equipment and the folds with a wash and a dry brush.

Who the model is for

  • modelers interested in the fighting on the Eastern Front
  • builders of dioramas with street architecture
  • collectors of historical figures in 1:35
  • more advanced figure painters

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
