A resin figure of a German officer from the period of the Second World War in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Bravo 6. It is the first set from the range of the same name; it holds one figure on its own, standing. It is not a kit of equipment but a figure accessory for dioramas and display cases.
A casting in hard modeling resin holds sharper detail than injection-molded plastic: the cut and the folds of the uniform coat, the belt, the collar tabs, the cap and the boots. The static pose makes the figure a universal feature - it works well by a vehicle, at a map table and in a street scene, where it forms a natural center of the composition.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent from the mold is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutter and level the seating surfaces with a file; sand resin wet and with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a thin primer before painting. Build the uniform up from a darker base to brightened edges and folds, and the skin up by layering glazes. A wash into the folds will emphasize the modeling and a matte varnish will unify the surface; the leather belt and the high boots can then be brought to life with a light satin, so that they contrast with the matte cloth.
