According to the name, the set 1:35 Hescos Set (10 pcs) offers ten Hesco barrier elements in 1:35 scale. It is a scenic accessory from RT-Diorama, which specializes in diorama buildings rather than kits of vehicles. The larger number of elements opens the way to more extensive arrangements than a smaller package will manage.
Hesco barriers consist of wire mesh baskets lined with geotextile that are filled on site with earth, sand or gravel. From the 1990s they replaced laborious walls of sandbags and became a typical mark of field bases, checkpoints and protected positions. In practice both continuous perimeter lines and two-level walls with an entrance and a bend are built from them.
With ten elements you can already build a whole entrance into the area of a base, a perimeter line along the edge of the diorama or a wall in two levels. Let the line break and do not straighten it to the millimeter - real walls follow the terrain and the needs of the traffic. It works well to leave one gap as a way through and to run ruts toward it, so that the scene explains itself. The wall also closes the view off nicely where the diorama ends.
