A house corner on a 1:35 base is a scenic ground with two walls of a building meeting at a corner. It creates the backdrop of a street scene without building a whole block.

A diorama ground in 1:35 scale from Black Dog whose subject is the corner of a house. The corner of a building creates two walls meeting at an angle, which is one of the most natural backdrops for a street display.
A corner frames a scene on two sides and opens it toward the viewer. A model of a vehicle or a figure placed in the corner gains the context of a street at once, without your having to build the whole row. The other sides stay open to the view into the display case.
Plaster and masonry differ in absorbency, so set them apart to the eye as well: a mattier surface of plaster against a slightly deeper color of brick. Dust the horizontal ledges and sills from above in a light shade, and leave the vertical surfaces darker at the ground instead. Small runs below the windows add believability more than another layer of pigment.
A corner is easy to extend: along the wall you join a sidewalk, and to the open side you set a piece of roadway or a strip of grass. If you reckon with the scene growing in future, leave at least one edge straight and unpainted, so that the joint can be hidden later without touching a finished surface.
The placing of figures and hardware remains up to you; the corner by itself is a backdrop.
