The Quinta Studio interior set is printed on decal paper, so it is not glued into the model like a resin part but transferred by soaking in water. It carries a finished printed color with relief, thanks to which the cab of the utility vehicle gains a legible dashboard, controls and the texture of the trim. The set is cut for the Tamiya kit. The same interior also exists in a version for a kit from another manufacturer, so check before ordering which of the variants you need, or the segments will not match in shape.
The HUMVEE is a family of light utility vehicles with independent wheel suspension, built on a single chassis in many body versions, from open carriers to closed ambulance variants. Their interior is very easy to see into: the vehicles are often built with the doors open, with the canvas rolled up or in a diorama with a crew. The dashboard and the center tunnel are therefore among the first places a viewer notices on a finished model.
Proceed as with a decal, not as with a part. Clean the flash off the plastic surfaces and degrease them; the best surface is smooth and glossy. Slide the soaked segment into place with a brush, line it up and blot the water away. Do not use a decal softener or a decal setter; their chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the element, even though they would help a classic decal. On deeper recesses it helps to press with a cotton bud in several cycles with drying in between. Let the finished interior dry thoroughly and even the sheen of the surface out with a matte varnish, so that the layer blends into the surrounding plastic.
