This is a resin detail accessory in 1:35 scale, not a model in its own right. The set replaces the upper deck of the German Jagdpanther tank destroyer with a realistic cast roof carrying a reproduced fabric canvas thrown over the grilles and the hatches. The part gives the vehicle a lived-in, field look and it covers up the seams of the original kit.
The Jagdpanther (Sd.Kfz. 173) was one of the most capable German tank destroyers of the Second World War. It combined the chassis of the Panther tank with a massive 88 mm gun in a fixed casemate. Crews often covered the engine grilles with canvas and fixed equipment to it, and this is exactly the scene the accessory captures.
First wash the resin parts free of release agent residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. The fabric folds come out in painting with a dry brush and a dark wash into the recesses.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
