Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Type 1 self-propelled gun of the Second World War in 1:35 scale. The set gives a faithful rendition of the open fighting compartment, offers easy band tracks for gluing and painting and holds six figures of the crew and accompanying infantry. Shells and further accessories are included as well.
The Type 1 self-propelled gun came about by mounting a 75 mm field gun on the hull of the Type 97 medium tank. The vehicle was produced from 1943 and about 140 were built. A number of them never reached combat because of damage during transport to the front, but the machines that were deployed earned respect even from the enemy.
Paint and fit out the open fighting compartment before the superstructure is finished. Use a thin modeling cement on plastic joints, lay down primer and paint with an airbrush. The figures bring the scene to life; the weathering is refined with a wash and pigments. Glue the band tracks in place and paint them over.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
