The accessory 1:35 Jungle Grass is one of the RT-Diorama scenic elements for low vegetation. It is not a model of a vehicle or a figure but growth with which the ground of a diorama is covered and the transition made between a bare surface and taller greenery. In tropical scenes grass is what holds the whole vegetation together.
Ground without growth looks like a board, not like landscape. Grass gives it texture and also serves a practical purpose: it covers the transitions between the individual materials of the base, softens the edges of cuttings and roads and gives a scene direction, because growth always leans somewhere. That is exactly why it pays to lay it out before the more striking plants are set into the scene. Grass is at the same time the simplest way to give a scene volume without having to deal with further large elements.
