Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kits of wheeled armored vehicles in 1:35 scale from the RPG Model brand, which concentrates on modern wheeled subjects. The Family 1+1 description in the name points to a combined package of two kits from the Typhoon-VDV family. Which two particular variants the package contains, the number of parts and whether photo-etch or decals are included should be checked beforehand against the illustration of the product and the manufacturer's data.
The K-4386 Typhoon-VDV is a Russian four-wheeled armored vehicle intended for airborne units. The hull has a shaped floor that deflects the blast wave away from the crew, and the seats are hung from the structure instead of being anchored in the floor — both raise its resistance to mines and improvised explosive devices. Against ordinary armored personnel carriers the vehicle is lighter and more modest in size, so as to suit the transport capacity of airborne units. The family covers several forms: the basic transport version as well as versions with various weapon stations and equipment.
With two kits in one package it pays to build them side by side — you do the shared sub-assemblies at once and save time. Assemble and test the running gear before you close the hull; only then can you check that all the wheels sit in one plane. Spray the tires separately and in a dark gray rather than a black shade. After the base coat comes a wash into the engraved lines, a dry brush on the edges and finally dust and mud effects built from the bottom up.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
