Sturer Emil — Kanone 40 barrel with canvas cover 1:35 from PANZER ART — a resin set of the K40 gun barrel with a canvas cover for the German Sturer Emil tank destroyer.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART representing the barrel of the German K40 gun with a cast canvas protective cover for the heavy Sturer Emil tank destroyer. This is not a vehicle model but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic barrel with a realistic part with the muzzle end covered.
Sturer Emil was a German prototype heavy tank destroyer from the early part of the Second World War, armed with a 128 mm K40 gun on a chassis derived from an experimental tank. Canvas covers over the muzzle end protected the bore of the barrel in the field.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces, using respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray a primer on before painting; the fabric folds of the cover come out well after a darker shade and a light wash.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. Using it requires the matching base kit of the Sturer Emil tank destroyer.
