Dead Design 1:72 Ki-30 Ann national insignia and markings masks is a masking set for spraying the Japanese insignia onto a model of the single-engine light bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Dead Design set deals with one particular part of a build: the Japanese national insignia and markings, which are sprayed through a painting template instead of being applied as decals. It is used on a finished coat and can be used at any stage when the model is painted and ready for its markings.
The Ki-30 was a single-engine light bomber that in the modeling world gets attention from smaller makers rather than from the big brands. With kits from small production runs it is precisely the decal sheet that tends to be the weak point: thin printing that tears during handling, or on the contrary a thick carrier film that leaves a visible step on the model. A sprayed insignia gets around that lottery, because the quality depends on your paint and your hand, not on the printer that supplied the decal sheet.
Prepare the area under the insignia smooth. If you have used a pronounced paint texture or a coarser pigment on the model, the mask will not seat and the paint will creep under. Lay the template on, run pressure around the edge and let it adhere for a moment. Spray perpendicularly, so that the paint does not get under the edge from an angled flow. Use a covering white coat under the red disc. Once the mask is off, let the insignia harden and only then go on with weathering or the final varnish.
