A resin detail accessory in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. It is not a model of a vehicle but a replacement gun mantlet for the German Panther Ausf. G tank in the late chin form (the Kinnblende), with a projecting lower edge that stopped hits from being trapped under the mantlet. The casting also faithfully reproduces the casting marks of the original cast component.
An accurate gun mantlet is a visually dominant item on a Panther model. The resin part offers a crisper shape, a faithful surface texture and fine casting marks, which are usually missing from the base plastic kit. The part replaces the original mantlet from the kit.
Wash the mold release residue off the part, cut off the casting block and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting. The cast surface texture comes out once it is picked out with a wash and a fine dry brush.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. A matching base kit of the Panther Ausf. G is needed to use it.
