The third set from the range of German war reporters from the manufacturer Bravo 6 in 1:35 scale. It holds one resin figure standing, equipped with a small still camera and dressed in land army uniform. It is not a kit of equipment but a figure accessory for dioramas and display cases. The set came out in 2018.
A casting in hard modeling resin captures sharper detail than injection-molded plastic: the lie of the cloth, the seams, the belt, the bags and the small camera in the hands. The stance is quiet and static, so the figure fits well into a scene by a vehicle, at the edge of a road or between buildings without drawing the whole composition to itself.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent from the mold disappears. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutter and sand the surfaces; sand resin wet and with respiratory protection. Cyanoacrylate super glue will secure the joint, and any gaps will be filled by a thicker variant with a filler or by modeling putty. Start the painting with a thin primer, build the uniform up from a dark base to brightened edges and folds, and build the skin up by layering. A wash into the folds and a closing matte varnish will unify the surface; the small camera stands out with a dark base and a fine dry brush.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
