This item is not a model of the tank but an accessory. It is a set of 3D printed workable tracks in 1:35 scale, meant to replace the tracks supplied in the base kit of the KV-1 heavy tank. The word workable means that once assembled the individual links move against each other, so the track can be given a natural sag over the running gear.
The tracks from the original kit are either flexible ones joined into a loop or split into segments, so a realistic sag of the upper run is hard to form with them. 3D printing allows sharper edges and finer detail on the guide teeth and the openings in the link than an injection mold commonly permits. The set is meant for a model of the KV-1, that is the Soviet heavy tank with its characteristic wide track and torsion bar suspension. Please check the compatibility with your particular kit against the dimensions of the running gear of your own model.
Wash the 3D printed parts first in warm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry thoroughly, so that no production residue is left on the surface. Cut the print supports off with a sharp scalpel and sand the remains back with fine paper, with protection for your airways. Glue the links with cyanoacrylate, because printed resin as a rule does not react to cement for plastic. Assemble the tracks in longer runs directly on the model, so that a natural sag arises. Apply a primer before painting, then a dark base shade; create the metallic sheen on the contact surfaces with graphite or a metal pigment and fill out with dust pigments.
The set is an accessory for more experienced modelers, not a model of the tank. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
