A set of photo-etched metal parts from Eduard intended for sharpening a plastic kit of the German Leopard 2A5 main battle tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the tank but a detail accessory that replaces coarser plastic items with thin etched parts. The extent of the set is described in the enclosed instructions.
The Leopard 2 is a German main battle tank, one of the most widespread modern tanks in Europe. The 2A5 version is notable for its characteristic wedge-shaped add-on armor on the front of the turret, a 120 mm smoothbore gun and a modernized fire control system. It serves in many armies, the Bundeswehr among them.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret, bend them in a bender and bond them with super glue. Detail the grilles, baskets and handles on the turret before painting. Apply a primer before spraying; for the three-color NATO camouflage a discreet wash and dust pigments on the running gear work well.
The accessory holds no model, glue or paints. It is meant for finishing an existing kit.
