The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and it is a kit of the vehicle, not a finished model.
The Leopard 2 is a German main battle tank whose development goes back to the 1970s and which has gone through a series of upgrades. The A6 version is recognized from the earlier forms above all by the 120 mm smoothbore gun with a longer barrel and by the wedge-shaped add-on armor on the front of the turret, whose shape markedly changes the silhouette. The vehicle is powered by a turbocharged diesel engine and, despite its weight, is among the more mobile machines in its class. The Dutch A6NL form came about through modification for the forces there and differs from the German vehicles mainly in items of equipment.
On a tracked vehicle, think the order through first: finish and paint the running gear and everything that will be out of reach once the hull is closed before you start gluing the superstructure on. The wedge armor of the turret has sharp edges, so sand the mating surfaces carefully so that no gap is left in the joint. Glue the long barrel on the center line and let it cure undisturbed, because even a slight deviation shows on the finished model. A camouflage in the form of a three-color scheme is sprayed with an airbrush with soft transitions. Build the patina up in layers: a dark wash in the recesses and around the rivets, dust and mud with pigments from the bottom upwards, and wear only in the places where people really walk and reach.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
