This photo-etched exterior set is intended for a plastic model of the West German Leopard 1A4 main battle tank in 1:35 scale. It adds fine external details such as engine compartment grilles, covers, brackets, eyes and other small elements that plastic cannot capture at a matching thinness. The set is an accessory, not a standalone kit.
The Leopard 1 was a West German main battle tank developed in the 1960s and armed with a 105 mm gun. It put mobility and firepower ahead of heavy armor. The 1A4 version was among the modernized machines with an improved fire control system and became a widespread type in a number of European armies.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and make the bends in a bending tool or over a metal edge. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a base color. The fine grilles and brackets stand out once a wash and pigments have been applied.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
