Eduard 1:35 M-113 IDF Zelda photo-etched set with add-on armor shields. It is not a model but a set of fine metal parts intended for the Academy kit in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detailing set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard intended for the plastic kit of the Israeli M-113 carrier (nicknamed Zelda) in 1:35 scale from the brand Academy. It is not a vehicle model but a package of thin metal parts that faithfully captures the add-on armor shields fitted by the Israeli army. The photo-etched panels and their brackets replace thick plastic parts and give the build realistic thickness and shape.
The M113 is an American tracked armored personnel carrier that in the Israeli army was given the nickname Zelda. In service it went through a range of modifications; among the typical ones are the add-on armor shields that raise protection against bullets and shaped-charge munitions. It is exactly these shields that this set models.
Photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a hard surface and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Larger panels are best shaped precisely before gluing and seated carefully so that they keep the correct standoff from the hull. Straight bends are more accurate with a photo-etch bending tool.
This is an add-on set, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
