An injection-molded plastic kit of the American light tactical truck M1078A1P2 LMTV (payload 2.5 tons) in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The richly subdivided model contains a detailed chassis with the drivetrain and the engine, hollow rubber wheels with a faithful tread, clear parts for the glazing and photo-etched parts. The cab is rendered in detail with the use of multi-direction slide molding.
The M1078 LMTV is an American light (medium) tactical truck with 4x4 drive and a payload of 2.5 tons which serves with the US Army and other users. The A1P2 version is a modernization with an armored cab - the designation P2 refers to the package protecting the crew against improvised explosive devices and small arms fire. The vehicle forms the basis of a whole family of logistics vehicles.
Assemble and paint the chassis, the engine and the cab interior before closing it up. Apply a primer and spray with an airbrush; you will bring desert sand or the NATO three-tone scheme to life with washes into the recesses and dust pigments on the wheels and the wheel arches. Mask the clear glazing parts while varnishing. Bond the photo-etched parts with super glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
