This 1:35 scale kit from AFV Club represents the M1132 Engineer Squad Vehicle variant of the American wheeled Stryker armored vehicle, fitted with a surface mine plow. It is an injection-molded plastic model to be assembled and painted. The box contains plastic parts, photo-etched elements, clear parts and decals. Both the mine plow and the lane marking system are workable.
The M1132 ESV is the engineer version of the Stryker, intended for the engineer squads of the US Army brigade combat teams. It is used to clear obstacles, mark lanes and detect mines. The vehicle carries a remote controlled weapon station that can take a 12.7 mm machine gun or a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.
Finish the chassis and drivetrain and the hull first, and fit the plow and the marking system with their movement in mind. Use liquid cement for plastic and apply a primer. We recommend spraying the shades with an airbrush; washes and pigments for dust and mud effects suit the weathering well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
