This detail set from the Czech maker Hauler captures the legendary American M2 Browning heavy machine gun of twelve point seven millimeters (.50 cal). The set usually combines resin and photo-etched parts, which replace the simplified plastic machine gun from an ordinary kit with a more faithful and finer rendering. It is not a vehicle kit but a standalone accessory for detailing.
The M2 Browning is a heavy machine gun that in its caliber became one of the most widespread and longest-serving weapons in the world. It was mounted on tanks, armored personnel carriers, jeeps and other equipment as anti-aircraft as well as ground fire support, and it serves to this day.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting gates and glue them with super glue. The fine etched parts (the barrel cooling jacket, the gun sights) stand out after being painted in a metal shade and given a light wash. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
