M24 Chaffee white metal tracks, T72E1 type (1:35, Friulmodel)

A set of individual link-by-link white metal tracks from Friulmodel, intended for models of the light tank M24 Chaffee. It is not a tank kit, but metal tracks that replace the plastic parts from the base kit. The tracks are assembled link by link and joined with wire pins, thanks to which a realistic sag between the road wheels can be achieved. The rendering matches the early T72E1 track type.

The real subject

The M24 Chaffee was an American light tank from the end of the Second World War, valued for its mobility and reliability. It served long after the war in a number of armies. The characteristic tracks are a prominent visible part of the model.

Assembly tips

• The links can be cleaned of casting residue as needed.
• Join the individual links with the enclosed wire cut into pins.
• Metal tracks naturally follow the sag over the wheels.
• Apply a primer to the metal before painting; ideal for weathering and a wash.

Who the set is for

• Advanced modelers of armored equipment in 1:35.
• Builders who want faithful metal tracks with a realistic sag.

The accessory is supplied without the base model. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
