Gecko Models M53 Cushman Scooter with a cart and paratroopers 1:35 is a plastic set of three American paratroopers with a folding scooter and a load cart.
Responsibility details are not available.
This multi-part plastic set in 1:35 scale from Gecko Models combines the Cushman M53 airborne scooter, the John Wood M3A4 model 1943 hand cart and three figures of American paratroopers of the Second World War. The box also contains an M1919 machine gun, an ammunition box and personal gear that can be loaded onto the cart. Photo-etched parts and decals for two versions are included.
The Cushman M53 scooter served American airborne units as a light means of transport dropped by parachute; thanks to its low weight it helped to move gear and supplies after a jump. The M3A4 hand cart was used for moving ammunition, supplies and equipment in the field. The set thus captures a typical scene of paratrooper equipment of the end of the war.
This is a classic injection-molded kit: glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic and the small photo-etched components with cyanoacrylate glue. The figures benefit from a base coat of primer and from shading with oils or washes; the scooter and the cart come to life with weathering, scuffing and dust on the lower sections. For an even base coat we recommend an airbrush.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories beyond the contents of the package are not included in the delivery.
