The Chaparral was an American mobile short-range air defense system in which surface-to-air guided missiles derived from air-to-air missiles were mounted on a tracked carrier. It served to defend units against low-flying air targets. The M730A1 version used a modernized tracked carrier.
With military vehicles we recommend finishing the running gear and the interior of the hull before you close it up. Pick out the tracks and the running gear with a wash and pigments for mud and dust effects. The launcher and the missiles come out best with careful airbrush painting followed by a patina.
