An injection-molded plastic set of figures in 1:35 scale from the range devoted to the Second World War, from Master Box. The set captures fighters of the French Resistance, the so-called maquis, in civilian and paramilitary clothing. It is intended to be assembled and painted; it is not a model of a vehicle but a set of characters for dioramas and display-case scenes.
The maquis were the rural partisans of the French Resistance during the German occupation of France. They were often men and women who had gone into hiding from forced labor and fought against the occupiers. The set combines civilian clothing with military armament, which makes it a varied and atmospheric scene outside the usual uniformed sets.
This is an injection-molded plastic set to be assembled and painted. Separate the parts from the sprue with sharp side nippers and glue them with thin cement for plastic applied with a brush, which draws the joints together nicely. Before painting it pays to spray on a basic primer so that the paint holds better. The faces and the uniforms stand out after painting with a subtle emphasis by a wash and a dry brush; an airbrush as well as a classic brush suits. The characters can be used together as a scene or separately in a diorama.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
