US MCI ration cartons (Vietnam) 1:35 from Tamiya is an injection-molded plastic set of diorama accessories. It is not a model of a vehicle but cartons of American combat rations from the Vietnam War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic set contains parts for assembling cartons of the American MCI combat rations that were widely used during the war in Vietnam. These are diorama accessories, not a model of a vehicle or a figure. The cartons can be built closed or with the inner contents pulled out.
The MCI rations (Meal, Combat, Individual) replaced the older C-Rations around 1960 and became the standard combat food of American units. They were supplied in cardboard cartons with individual packets of food, biscuits and accessories. They are a typical element of American logistics of the Vietnam era.
Clean the parts up and glue them with thin cement for plastic. The cartons come into their own once painted in cardboard shades and once the printing and lettering are added. A wash and light dust weathering give a realistically worn look. They suit scenes with parked vehicles, depots and figures.
This is a set of diorama accessories, not a model of a vehicle. Paints, glue and figures are not included in the package.
