A genre resin scene in 1:35 scale capturing a meeting on a city promenade. It comes from the workshop of the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel, whose civilian figures are among the most distinctive things to be had for dioramas.
The promenade, that is the Sunday walk along the esplanade, was a social event throughout the first half of the twentieth century. People stopped, greeted one another and fell into conversation; this scene captures exactly such a moment. In a diorama it creates a natural focal point: while the equipment forms the backdrop, a small human situation draws the eye of the viewer and tells a story.
Wash the resin parts free of the mold release agent, carefully cut the casting lugs off and prime them. Paint the period civilian clothing in muted, mutually harmonized tones; let the contrast come out between light and shade rather than between garish colors. The faces and hands will come into their own by layering acrylics or by fine painting in oils; a final matte varnish evens the surface out.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted, cast from resin. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
