An injection-molded plastic kit of the Israeli Merkava Mk.2B main battle tank in 1:35 scale from Takom. The package contains plastic sprues, running gear parts and decals for building the whole vehicle.
The Merkava is an Israeli main battle tank with a characteristic front engine placement, which gives the crew extra protection, and with a rear door that allows both loading and transport. The Mk.2B version is among the modernized forms of the second generation, with improved armor protection and equipment derived from experience in combat in the Middle East.
First assemble and paint the running gear and the underside of the hull before you close them in with the superstructures. Glue the plastic with thin cement and pick out the chains and the walkways with a wash. Apply a primer under the single-color finish, paint with an airbrush and finish the surface with dust and mud pigments for a faithful patina.
