The 1:35 MG34 Main Version With Ammo Belt shows the same base type of machine gun, this time with a loosely led ammunition belt. An accessory for ground equipment and figure scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
This form of the accessory captures the standard German general-purpose machine gun at the moment when the belt runs loose downward from the feed mechanism. Against the form with a closed drum the scene looks livelier: the belt hangs, sags under its own weight and gives away at first glance that the weapon is ready to fire. The data on the size of 1:35 is part of the name of the item.
The machine gun was filled with belts that could be joined into longer lengths, and the crew carried them in sheet metal containers. It is exactly how the belt hangs or how it is led into a box that is among the most conspicuous details of a whole scene. Before gluing the weapon it is therefore worth thinking through where the belt comes out and where it heads; once everything is in place, an additional adjustment tends to be difficult.
The cartridges stand out when a brass shade is applied in a thin coat and the edges are carefully drawn out with a lighter tone. The body of the weapon takes a darker undercoat with a suggestion of wear where the gunner regularly reached. Rather spare the strongly glossy metallic paints, because in a small size a matte taste of steel looks more convincing than a mirror sheen.
