This injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese maker Tamiya presents the British Mark IV heavy tank of the First World War in 1:35 scale. It is the Male version, characterized by two side sponsons with guns. The set is made up of well-shaped plastic parts with the characteristic tracks running all the way around the rhomboid hull. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Mark IV was one of the first tanks committed in action and a key British weapon of the First World War. The Male version carried two 6-pounder guns in its side sponsons, while the Female version had machine guns only. The characteristic rhomboid shape of the hull, with the tracks led around the whole outline, made it possible to cross trenches.
Glue the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic, and assemble the tracks carefully around the whole hull. After applying the base coat, choose a single-color finish, and period markings if you wish. The muddy look of trench warfare will be underlined by pronounced mud effects, pigments and a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
