This is a photo-etched detail set from Eduard intended for refining a plastic model of the OH-6A light observation helicopter in 1:35 scale. It is not a stand-alone model or a helicopter kit, but a set of fine photo-etched parts that replace the simplified plastic elements and give the model detail beyond the reach of ordinary injection molding.
The OH-6A Cayuse, nicknamed the Loach, was an American light observation and reconnaissance helicopter with a distinctive egg-shaped fuselage. It made its name in the Vietnam War, where its small size and agility suited it to reconnaissance, liaison and light fire support.
Separate the etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface, make the bends over a ruler or in a photo-etch bending tool and bond them with super glue. Where a part is to replace a plastic element, cut the latter carefully off the model first and sand the area flat. Degrease the etched parts before painting and apply a primer for good adhesion.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
