An SX-Art masking set for the 1:35 model of the 9K79 Tochka missile system. It simplifies applying the camouflage to the large areas of the body.
Responsibility details are not available.
These templates from SX-Art are cut for the model of this vehicle in 1:35 scale. The kit the mask is designed around is written out in the name of the item. For a modeler building several vehicles of one unit the set has one more advantage: the pattern comes out the same on every piece.
The Tochka is a Soviet tactical missile system introduced in the 1970s. It carries a single guided missile on a launch rail, which it raises into an inclined position before launch. The chassis is wheeled and amphibious, with a strongly shaped front section of the body and several axles. The broken-up shape of the body makes drawing the camouflage by hand a lengthy job, which ready-made templates shorten considerably, and there is also no risk of a line running off somewhere.
Apply the primer, let it dry, lay the template on, check that the edges have seated and only then reach for the airbrush. Meter the paint out in coats and keep checking the coverage. Take the template off with a smooth movement away from the area just sprayed, not perpendicularly upward. Before you start on the next shade, let the previous one dry thoroughly.
It is a separate painting aid; the plastic parts of the vehicle are not included.
