This is a resin detail set in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART, not a gun model on its own. The set holds a casting of the barrel of the German 7.5 cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun with a representation of a canvas cover pulled over the muzzle of the barrel. It serves as a replacement for the barrel supplied in plastic kits of this gun and of the vehicles based on it.
The 7.5 cm PaK 40 was the standard German anti-tank gun of the Second World War, in action on every front from 1942 onward. The canvas muzzle cover protected the bore of the barrel against dirt and weather when the gun was not in action, and it is a rewarding detail for modelers that brings an otherwise plain barrel to life.
First wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a base primer before painting; bring up the cover with drybrushing and a light wash so that the texture of the fabric stands out.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
