1:35 Palm tree leaves 13pcs.

Palm leaves in 1:35 scale, thirteen pieces

The item 1:35 Palm tree leaves 13pcs. belongs among the scenic accessories from RT-Diorama. It is not a vehicle model and not a figure, but a building element of a scene: thirteen palm leaves in 1:35 scale. Thirteen pieces is a count you can work with in more than one way: either you build up the crown of one more prominent palm from them, or you divide them among several smaller plants and leave some lying on the ground underneath.

Where palms belong in a scene

A palm establishes at once where the action takes place. It appears most often in dioramas of the Pacific theater of the Second World War, of the fighting in North Africa and the Middle East, of the Mediterranean and of Southeast Asia. It works outside military subjects as well, in civilian scenes of harbors, plantations or coastal villages.

Tips for setting them in a scene

• Do not arrange the leaves symmetrically; a real crown is irregular and some of the leaves hang down or are broken.
• Leave one or two leaves lying under the tree, as the ground under a palm is never clean.
• Place the palm so that it frames the main subject rather than hiding it.
• Choose the way of fixing them according to the ground of the scene and the form of the parts.

Who the accessory is for

• Builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale.
• Modelers of tropical, coastal and desert subjects.
• Anyone who puts vegetation together their own way and wants control over the result.
