A motorized version is a different discipline from a static build: besides the usual work on the hull and the turret, there is the mounting of the drive, the shaft run and a working running gear to sort out. The Panther was a German medium tank of the Second World War with a long-barreled 7.5 centimeter gun, sloped frontal armor and interleaved road wheels. The Ausf.G version was the last one in series production and it brought a reworked hull side of simpler shape and without a separate driver's vision port. Early examples of this version differ from the later ones in production details, for instance in the design of the exhausts and the hatches.
With a motorized variant, work in a different order from a static model: first check the running of the gearing and the mounting of the motor by dry-fitting, and only then glue the hull for good. The road wheels and their axles must be square, otherwise the tracks will come off. Use liquid cement for plastic applied into the joints with a brush and make sure it does not get into the moving parts. Paint over a primer; on large surfaces it helps to lighten the centers of the panels for a tonal effect. Keep the weathering factual: dust and mud on the running gear, a fine wash in the recesses and a discreet rub-through on the edges.
